Eagles run well in rain at Brevard

Brevard, N.C. -- Sophomore Tiffany Winchell's school-record in the 1,600 meters highlighted a short day at the rained-shortened Brevard Invitational Friday in Brevard, North Carolina.

Junior Tina Dalton (Mooresburg,Tenn.) was able to take the team overall points lead with her win in the javelin.

Antonio Gomez led the effort for the Eagles with 85 points.

The men will compete Tuesday May 1 in the Smokey Mountain Twilight Meet at the University of Tennessee.
