Eagles Add Transfer

JEFFERSON CITY, TN- Austin Bridgewater will join the Eagles for the upcoming spring. Bridgewater comes to the Eagles from Liberty University. A graduate of Morristown-West High School, Bridgewater attended Walters State CC. In his first season at Walters State CC, Bridgewater finished 5-2 with a 2.70 ERA. He pitched 33 innings with 40 strikeouts and 4 base on balls. Walters State would win the regions and place in the World Series. Last year, he finished 9-2 with 57 strikeouts in 65 innings. He helped Walters State to a #5 final ranking in the national polls. Coach Griffin on the addition of Bridgewater, "Austin has played for two years for one of the best JUCO programs in the country. He was successful there and pitched for one of the best pitching coaches in Joey Seaver. We have seen a lot of Austin and he will fit in great to our program. We were very confidant with our group, he adds more juice to our run for a championship"
