Blue Chips Win Game 3 on Reed's Home Run
Lance Reed's opposite field home run in the fourth inning was all the Blue Chips needed to win Game 3. Evan Faithfull was effective starting for the Blue Chips, throwing five innings and giving up only two runs to get the win.
The Orange Shores scored both of their runs in the second inning. Lucas Mohon lead off the inning with a single. After a sacrifice bunt, Joe Tipton singled up the middle to drive in Mohon. After another single by Corey Moser, Tipton would score on a wild pitch and give the Shores a 2-0 lead.
In the top of the third, Troy Zawadzki singled with one out, Bryan Everhart drew a walk. Lance Reed then hit a home run over the left field wall and give the Chips a lead that would hold up the rest of the way.
The Chips were able to get two runners on in the bottom of the seventh, but Alex Britt got the save, getting a strikeout and ground ball.
Game four will be played on Tuesday, with National League rules
