Eagles Basketball Signs Nine for 2010-11 Season
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — The Carson-Newman men's basketball program has signed nine student-athletes for the 2010-11 season, Eagles first-year head coach Chuck Benson announced Friday.
Forward John Holleman (Petersburg, Va.), guard Antonio Sullivan (Louisville, Ky.), guard Bradley Tumer (Eustis, Fla.), guard Ishmael Sanders (Cleveland, Tenn.), forward Levon Tate (Murfreesboro, Tenn.), guard Tyler Smith (Andersonville, Tenn.), center Julian McBee (Knoxville, Tenn.), guard Kevin Leatherwood (Charlottesville, Va.) and guard Ray Likely (Eustis, Fla.) make up the Eagles' 2010 signing class.
"We are excited to add this group of student-athletes to our men's basketball team for the 2010-11 season," Benson said. "This group gives us added depth at every position on the floor. The challenges of this season will be many, but this group, along with our returning players, will be prepared and ready to respond on game day."
