Former Eagle Greats in Attendance at Carson-Newman Letterman's Club Banquet

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Former Carson-Newman men's basketball greats Tommy Everette (1966-70), Gil Luttrell (1960-64), Howard Luttrell (1957-61) and Steve Bowling (1967-71) were in attendance at last week's Carson-Newman Letterman's Club Banquet at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Knoxville.

Gil Luttrell, who received All-American honors in 1963 and 1964, and Everette, who was an All-American in 1970, have both been enshrined in the C-N Hall of Fame.

First-year C-N head coach Chuck Benson and his staff had the pleasure of meeting with the former Eagles.

"We had a wonderful time visiting with so many former Eagle greats representing all the C-N sports at the Letterman's Club gathering," Benson said. "We want to reconnect with our former men's basketball players and coaches, and educate our current players on the history and proud tradition of our men's basketball program."

Benson and his staff have made reaching out to former Eagles a priority and have created the Eagle Alumni Form, which can be found by clicking here or navigating to the Eagle Alumni Form section under sport links on the right-hand side of the men's basketball home page. All former Eagles are welcome to fill out the form, as alumni are and will continue to be an important part of the men's basketball program.
