Ostvold Named an NCAA Division II All-American

JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. - Carson-Newman junior defender Thomas Ostvold has been named to the 2008 NSCAA/adidas Division II Men's All-American Team, announced last week.

Ostvold, a native of Stavanger, Norway, was a second-team selection.  He has received All-American honors all three of his season as an Eagle.

This past season, Ostvold led a Carson-Newman defense that allowed just .80 goals per game.  The Eagles finished 2008 with an 11-5-2 record and advanced to the NCAA Divsion II Tournament.
