Lady Eagles in fourth place after day one of Dana Rader Intercollegiate

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carson-Newman women's golf team shot a 328 (+40) on Monday to finish in fourth place after the first round of the 36-hole Dana Rader Intercollegiate at Ballantyne Resort.
Sophomore Jessica Tarbet (Corryton, Tenn.) fired a 79 (+7) to lead the Lady Eagles and finish the day in a tie for sixth place. The Kennesaw State transfer is seven shots back of Pfeiffer University's Brittany Beltran, who leads the tournament after shooting an opening day 72.
Lady Eagle sophomore Caitlin Fortner (Greeneville, Tenn.) is in a tie for eighth place after carding an 80 (+8). Leah Hagedorn (Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.) turned in an 84 (+12), while Sarah Jane Sinard (Jefferson City, Tenn.) shot an 85 (+13).
C-N will compete in the final round of the Dana Rader Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
